As you know well, helping someone with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments can be challenging. Communication can be difficult, memories feel disconnected, and caretaking is exhausting.

You also know the very real benefits of a nurturing, caring environment that celebrates and supports each person’s unique needs.

The Village of St. Edward works hard to design therapeutic activities that help residents in Memory Care feel safe, secure, and loved. With your help, we will expand Memory Care programs and activities.

Perhaps it happens with a weighted doll designed to imitate the sensation of caring for a baby. Maybe it’s a robotic pet whose actions mimic a gentle cat or dog. Or maybe it’s an hour of Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or time spent at a carefully curated station that replicates household activities. The Village is committed to daily providing opportunities to rekindle cherished memories, foster connections, and bring joy.

Your gift can make a difference today!

$50 will provide games, puzzles, and sensory items that nurture brain health.

$100 will sponsor a weighted doll or robotic pet that calms an agitated resident.

$500 will help create a station that recreates a shopping experience.

$1,000 will provide six weeks of Art Therapy.

$2,500 will bring eight weeks of Music Therapy.

$25,000 or more will establish a permanently named fund, honoring someone you love and forever benefitting those with cognitive impairment.

We know, and so do you, how rewarding it can be to provide care for those facing cognitive decline. We invite you to make a donation and help us provide the best opportunities every day.
